Regional leagues

Border Junior League This started off as the Second Division of the Border (Senior) League.

Central Junior League Existing as the Scottish Central Junior League between 1931 and 1968, and the Central Region Junior League from 1968 to 2002.

Dumfries Junior League Lasted for only one season, 1899-00, but was unfinished.
Dumfries and District Amateur Junior League Formed immediately after the Second World War but had disbanded by 1951.
Midland Junior League 1896-1901 Stirlingshire-based competition.
Midland Junior League 1939-1947 Wartime competition featuring clubs from Forfarshire and Perthshire.
Musselburgh Junior League Played between 1898 and 1901, this league featured clubs from Mid and East Lothian.
Scottish Intermediate League Breakaway competition played at the height of the intermediate dispute between the juniors and seniors from 1927 and 1931.
Scottish Junior Alliance West central league played during 1892-93.

Western Intermediate League Breakaway competition played during the intermediate dispute from 1927 and 1931.
West of Scotland Junior League Played in 1914-15 by clubs from Glasgow and its environs.
County leagues

Aberdeen & District Junior League Principal junior league in Aberdeenshire between 1901 and 1968.
Angus Junior League Formed by the extension of the Forfar Junior League in 1930 to include all the principal county clubs in Forfarshire, disbanding in 1969.
Angus and Kincardineshire Junior League This was the early name for the post-WW2 Kincardineshire Junior League.
Berwickshire Junior League Formed in 1920, this league became an amateur competition after 1929.

Clackmannanshire Junior League Existing between 1896 and 1909, after which the league formed the Second Division of the Stirlingshire Junior League.
Donaldson Junior League Earlier name for the Midlothian Junior League.
Dumbartonshire Junior League County-wide league that existed at different times in the 1890s and pre-WWI period.

East Lothian Junior League Played from the 1890s through to the outbreak of the Great War.

Fife Region Junior League Formed from the Fife Junior League, this was the only league to remain intact after the re-organisation of junior football in 1968. It disappeared in subsequent changes after 2002.
Glasgow Junior League Running from 1895 to 1927, this was arguably the most powerful junior league in history.
Glasgow District Junior League Played in 1931-32 as a 'supplementary' competition by Central Junior League clubs.
Glasgow and District Junior League Several versions of this league existed between 1899 and 1924. It was also closely related to the Scottish Junior League and Glasgow Junior League.
Glasgow 2nd XI Junior League This reserve competition for GJL clubs ran during the late 1890s.
Inter County Junior League Second tier Forfarshire league played between 1906 and 1914.
Kincardineshire Junior League This league was in existence between 1907 and 1932. It re-formed in 1946, initially as the Angus and Kincardineshire Junior League, before eventually disbanding in 1955.
Lanarkshire Junior Alliance Secondary league during the 1890s running below the Lanarkshire Junior League.
Lanarkshire Junior League The first junior league formed in Scotland, existing from 1891 until 1968 when it was absorbed into the new central region of the Scottish JFA.
Midlothian Junior League Formed in 1893 as the Donaldson Junior League, this competition, after a rocky start, came to dominate eastern junior football before being swallowed up in the re-organisation of 1922.
Montrose and Kincardine Junior League Founded in 1932 as a juvenile competition, between 1936 and 1939 it attained junior status.
North-Western Junior League Glasgow-based 'supplementary' competition played in 1931-32 by Central Junior League clubs.
Perth and District Junior League City league founded in 1899 that admiited county clubs over time.
Perthshire Junior League One of a few leagues that operated in Perthshire since 1899.
Renfrewshire Junior League Played during 1897-98. in 1915-16, and in the early 1920s.

Stirling & District Junior League Original name, between 1896 and 1901, of the Stirlingshire Junior League 

Stirlingshire Junior League First played in 1893, this league was known as the Stirling & District Junior League between 1896 and 1901. In 1909, it absorbed the Clackmannanshire Junior League as its new Second Division but in 1927 the league disbanded after its membership joined the Scottish Junior League.
District leagues
Arbroath and District Junior League Existed between 1892 and 1914, resurfacing after the Great War for a few seasons. Also known as the Melvin League, its membership would find a place in the Forfar and District Junior League.
Arbroath Junior League Supplementary competition played in the early 1950s for members of the Angus Junior League.
Ayrshire Junior League Despite its name, this league from 1892-93 and 1900-1905 was cetred around Irvine.
Ayrshire Junior League Name adopted by the South Ayrshire Junior League between 1928 and 1931.
Ayrshire Southern League Name adopted by the South Ayrshire League between 1926 and 1928.
Brechin Junior League Played from 1901 to 1903, this was previously a knock-out competition for the Brechin-America Cup.
Burnbank and District Junior League 'Supplementary' league from 1908-1910, its clubs were also members of the Scottish Junior and Lanarkshire Leagues.
Cambuslang and District Junior League 'Supplementary' competition that existed from, at least, 1905 to 1908.
Campbeltown & District Junior League The town had a flourishing junior league during the 1930s.
City and District Junior League Second tier Dundee league, first played in 1919, becoming the Second Division of the Dundee Junior League in 1922.

Dumfries Junior League Incomplete league competition played during 1899-00.

Dumfries & District Amateur Junior League Local junior competition which flourished in the late 1940s.
Dundee and District Junior League Principal competition for clubs in Dundee and surrounding area, played between 1894 and 1969.

East Neuk Junior League competition covering the south east of Fife between 1908 and 1922.
East of Fife Junior League A number of competitions went by this name between 1892 and 1921.
Forfar and Brechin Junior League Name used to describe the Forfar and District Junior League in 1900-01 season.
Forfar and District Junior League One of several leagues that operated in Forfarshire between 1897 and 1930. It was superceded by the Angus Junior League.
Inverness Junior League Short-lived post-WW2 competition that folded in 1953.
Irvine and District Junior League Strong junior competition which existed between 1907 and 1920.
Kilmarnock Junior League Local league that existed from 1898 to 1921.
Kirkintilloch and District Junior League Local league that ran between 1896 and 1900.
Lochee and District Junior League Short-lived competition that ran from 1897 to 1900.
Melvin Junior League Alternate name for the Arbroath and District Junior League.
Montrose Junior League Existed over two periods, 1892 to 1895 and 1901 to 1906.
North Ayrshire Junior League Competition based around Irvine which lasted just one season, 1903-04.
Northern District Junior League Irvine-based competition which lasted from 1904-1907.
North Western Junior League 'Supplementary' league that was run by the Central Junior League during 1931-32 season.
North Western Junior League Lanarkshire competitiion that was competed for in 1898-99 and possibly 1899-00.
South Ayrshire Junior League Existing between 1920 and 1932, it was the only league in the county to stay loyal to the Scottish Junior FA during the Intermediate Dispute. For a time it was also called the Ayrshire Southern Junior League and Ayrshire Junior League.
Stirling and District Junior League Running from 1896 to 1901, this was the foreruner to the Stirlingshire Junior League.
Stirlingshire Central Junior League Played for in at least one season, 1898-99.
Strathaven and District Junior League Played in Lanarkshire, this league lasted just one season, 1900-01.
Stranraer Junior League Played in 1912-13 season, the winners being awarded the Tweedie Cup trophy.
Strathmore Junior League Short-lived Perthshire competition from the early 1920s.
